In the bustling hallways of a Japanese high school, Aoyama Kanata is a paradox: a beloved social magnet who feels utterly alone. Senkawa Akira is a sharp-edged ghost, brilliant but intentionally invisible. They orbit the same world without a single shared word—until a fateful encounter on the forgotten stairwell to the rooftop.
This dusty landing becomes their sanctuary. Away from prying eyes and performance, Kanata and Akira discover a silent pact: to share only the truth. Through a single shared earphone and the raw strum of a guitar riff, they unburden the anxieties they mask daily. Kanata confesses the exhaustion of fake smiles; Akira admits the loneliness of intellectual isolation. What begins as anonymous confession evolves into a fragile, heartbeat-synchronizing bond. As their hidden spring semester unfolds, these two polar opposites realize that the greatest risk isn’t being seen by the whole school—but being truly seen by just one person.
