My Grandpa Is a BL Writer

Somsak wrote adventure novels for decades. They don’t sell anymore. The orphanage his grandfather founded is drowning in debt. So a seventy-year-old man decides to do something unthinkable: write a Boys Love novel. His Gen Z grandson, Save, is mortified. Then inspired. Despite clashing over everything from slang to storytelling, Save agrees to help. To give his grandpa “authentic research,” Save starts dating a friend who confessed feelings for him—a decision more complicated than expected. Meanwhile, Somsak struggles to understand a world of “ships,” “fan service,” and feelings he never learned to name. My Grandpa Is a BL Writer (2026) is a Thai drama about generational gaps, unexpected love, and the beautiful mess of family. Can a traditional novelist learn to write the heart? And can a grandson learn that some love stories are worth living—not just writing? Warm, funny, and surprisingly profound.
